CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BOYS FOR REACHING THE SEMI FINALS   ! 

A BIG THANK YOU to Angus Gardiner and the Canterbury Team for coming and visiting us in the Supporters Club at the Lancaster Hotel, after all the home round robin games.  It was much appreciated by all who stayed to see them.  Players who had reached 12 games for Canterbury were capped after the Hawkes Bay game.  Well done to those players.

PLAYER OF THE DAY

After every game, a player is selected to receive the CRSC Player of the Day award for the most valuable contribution to the team. 

So far this season the following have been recognised:

PLAYER OF THE YEAR DINNER – SATURDAY, 6 DECEMBER

The Canterbury Rugby Union in association with The Canterbury Rugby Supporters’ Club will host the annual dinner at the Christchurch Convention Centre on Saturday, 6 December 2008, where the Canterbury and Crusader players’ awards will be presented. We have a limited number of CRSC members’ tickets available at the special club price of $90 each.  It’s a great night so be in quick; phone Dawne on

UPDATE ON CLUBROOMS

We hope to have news shortly regarding the long term plans for the club’s new venue.  The committee is very keen to ensure the future of the Supporters’ Club and is actively campaigning for the best available for all members.

We have heard on the rugby grapevine that the first game in the 2009 Super 14 season may be starting on 6 February.

 

A MESSAGE FROM DICK

A luncheon is to be held on Friday, 24th October 2008 at The Hornby Working Men’s Club – 12 noon   -  $50 per seat or $500 Table of Ten (Includes Buffet Meal with some Complimentary Drink).   Proceeds to Rolleston Rugby Club
