Crusaders v Cheetahs

15 March 2008

The Crusaders secured their position at the top of the Super 14 table with an emphatic 55-7 win over the Cheetahs in front of a home crowd of 15,000 on Saturday night.

The South African visitors were only able to score one try against the rampant home team who hit the try line a total of nine times on a mild night with perfect conditions for running rugby.

It was well and truly over by half time, when the score was 33-0 and the Crusaders had notched up enough points for a bonus try.  The team then went on the treat their fans to a faultless exhibition of high quality rugby.
